The President of Tidewater Properties and Construction Company, Matt McQuillen has been a lifelong resident of the Virginia Peninsula. Matt entered the construction field at the age of 17, where he began working in residential construction and commercial construction field.
In early 2005 Matt started Tidewater Properties and Construction Company. Matt divested in taking on was investment property restorations. T.P.C.C. would acquire properties that were in poor shape and rebuild them to like new condition. In doing this Matt said "I get great satisfaction in helping to revitalize neighborhoods that were once beautiful places to live" "I love taking a 100 year old home and restoring the timeless architecture and adding some modern flare".
Being involved with investment properties Matt learned a lot about the Tidewater areas' real estate market. During the time Matt was turning investment properties he made many connections with local real estate brokers and agents. Many of the brokers and agents who have worked with Matt began referring clients and friends to T.P.C.C. for their personal remolding and building projects, which expanded Matt's business growth to where it is today.
Tidewater Properties and Construction Company is now a diverse company that takes on projects of all sizes in both the residential and commercial sector. T.P.C.C. uses mostly in house workers to complete its projects which give T.P.C.C. greater control by providing a higher degree of quality, timeliness, and thereby customer satisfaction, which in today's market is extremely rare of a general contractor due to the advent many contractors being awarded jobs (mostly by being low bid) and then "farming" every aspect of the job out to the lowest cost sub contractors, leaving the cheap sub contractor supervising your job and doing the work of your prime general contractor.
Matt continues to build his company on three words- honesty, integrity, and hard work, and in doing so employs a staff of workers who only compliment the same.
